A graduate of Connecticut College who earned a bachelor of arts in political science and Hispanic studies, John Finneran has a career in marketing and sales that spans nearly 40 years. From 1985 to 2000, he managed profit and loss responsibility for multi-million-dollar trade and consumer marketing programs as a marketing manager for Unilever Home and Personal Care in Greenwich, Connecticut. John Finneran’s accomplishments with Unilever include developing and directing a number of promotions in partnership with large retail chains that range from K-Mart to Safeway.
For the past 12 years, Mr. Finneran has operated a private consultancy practice that serves a diverse client base of startup companies. He assists these startups in developing annual marketing and financial plans, creating sales and pricing strategies, spearheading database marketing initiatives, as well as advising regional and national planning for new rollouts. He is also adept at developing overall sales plans for product launches and assessing the potential value of new product launch concepts.
