Based in Wilton, Connecticut, Jerry Cain draws upon nearly two decades of private equity experience to lead capital-raising activities at Slate Asset Management. He has served as managing director with the firm since 2020, prior to which he was head of funds advisory for the Americas at JLL, where he leveraged his expertise in raising private capital to expand the firm's global funds advisory platform. Before that, Jerry Cain spent four years as a director with Lazard Freres.
Jerry Cain has additional capital-raising experience as a director at Harbert Management Corporation and Crossroads Capital Partners. With Harbert, he oversaw fundraising for real estate funds in North America and Europe. He has also served as a manager at RPM and owned and operated his own firm over a four-year period.
Complementing his experience, Mr. Cain earned an MBA from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, and he also holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Roanoke College. When he isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports such as platform tennis and golf.
