Dr. Jene Edwards, a dedicated psychologist with training in rape crisis therapy and trauma-focused CBT, graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a bachelor’s in psychology and from Walden University with a master’s in psychology and a PhD in clinical psychology. She began gaining experience in her career while still working toward her doctorate and she served as a research assistant for the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center and a counselor/intern for WEAVE. Near the end of her time as a doctoral candidate, Dr. Jene Edwards spent time as a psychological assistant for Tiffany Mimms, PhD.
After graduating, Dr. Edwards served as an adjunct faculty member for Coastal Carolina Community College and a safe house counselor for WEAVE. In her role as an instructor, she taught basic principles and practices relating to general and abnormal psychology. Meanwhile, she conducted group and individual therapy for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence at WEAVE. She currently practices in California.
In her free time, Dr. Jene Edwards enjoys reading and going to the opera and theater.
