Based in New York City, Jason Jaramillo, MD, is a physician with the community private practice Allied Medical Associates (a Maimonides Medical Center affiliate). Jason Jaramillo, MD’s areas of interest include point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). An expanding area of diagnostics, this discipline involves the use of handheld ultrasound devices and improves accuracy beyond traditional auscultation. From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Jason Jaramillo maintained a solo private practice based on the patient-centered house call model. He maintained a regular schedule of three intensive patient encounters per day, and coordinated scheduling, prescriptions, and electronic medical records using a next-generation online system.
He subsequently spent 2 years with Visiting Medical Services of New York performing in-home health assessments for patients in the Medicare Advantage program. After joining Maimonides Medical Center in 2015, he distinguished himself among the more than 100 internal medicine residents as co-intern of the year.
