James Vendemia

Based in Monaca, Pennsylvania, James Vendemia works with the Lenzer/Shell Project, where he is responsible for transportation management. In addition, James Vendemia is an experienced educator, having served as an English, speech, mass communications, and journalism teacher in the Central Valley School District.

Serving there for five years, Mr. Vendemia developed curricula for grades 10 through 12 while implementing assessments. He also supervised extra-curricular activities and sponsored The Odyssey, his high school’s student-run newspaper. James Vendemia was the recipient of the Male Teacher of the Year award on five occasions. He later became director of transportation and athletics for the school district.

Following this, he served as principal of The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, where he was responsible for evaluating teachers as per the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Educator Effectiveness Model guidelines. Mr. Vendemia was also responsible for organizing teacher training and evaluation days, among other duties. He holds a bachelor of arts in secondary education and language arts, alongside a master’s degree in educational leadership and school administration.
