Wasilla, Alaska, resident James R. Partridge is a real estate developer who has experience designing and building homes, as well as managing rental properties. He also maintains an interest in collecting antique and classic automobiles. Although he resides in Alaska, Mr. Partridge enjoys traveling the "Lower 48" in his motorhome.
Prior to pursuing business opportunities in real estate development and rental property management, Mr. Partridge served more than 30 years as a pilot with Northwest Airlines, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this time, he captained several aircraft, including the L-188, B-727, and B-747 the latter of which was introduced in 1969 as the first-ever twin-aisle commercial aircraft. Because of the airplane's six-story high tail, Boeing had to construct a new factory to accommodate 747 production.
In addition to his flight activities with Northwest Airlines, Mr. Partridge served as a pilot for the Civil Reserve Air Fleet during the Persian Gulf War 1990-91.
