Based in San Juan Capistrano, California, James Paul Baratta is a former business affairs associate who has experience working with Universal Music Publishing Group, where he regularly liaised with chief counsel. In his role at the firm, James Paul Baratta negotiated contracts with companies such as Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and others.
Since 2017, Mr. Baratta has served as the CEO of FT Empire, which he also co-founded. In this role, he works with professional Esports players and others to offer influencer marketing, social media marketing, and brand strategy services to clients. In early 2019, he established the North American Collegiate League, a nonprofit that offers scholarships to tournament winners around the world. He also serves as a board director for the organization.
