James Olsen

An alumnus of Brigham Young University, James “Jim” Olsen obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from the school in 2001 and subsequently earned an MBA in business management from the Thunderbird School of International Management and a juris doctor from the University of the Pacific. He worked in manager roles at Expeditors International and Forever Living Products before being hired as a motor carrier manager by the State of Arizona Department of Transportation. James Olsen worked in this capacity for two years, during which time he oversaw trucking regulations, commercial driver license administration, and international registration plans.

From there, Jim Olsen served brief stints as vice president of sales at Hutchinson, Perry, & Associates, and as an intern at the State of Arizona's Office of the Attorney General. After completing his internship, he launched The Olsen Law Firm in Peoria, Arizona. Through eight years leading the firm, he filed in excess of 1,600 federal court cases concerning matters such as litigation, contract drafting and adherence, and bankruptcy. In his work as an attorney, he also provided legal services to clients in various real estate matters.

From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Olsen served as general manager at Desert Del Oro Foods, Inc., in Orem, Utah. In this role, he managed the day to day operations for the restaurant and implemented measures that helped increase sales by more than 30 percent within one year for the Utah establishment.
