James Giacin has served as the managing director of a St. Louis, Missouri, financial firm since 2019. In this position, he is tasked with the oversight of all strategic initiatives related to the firm’s structured finance and asset management solutions, which are offered to insurance companies throughout the country. James Giacin’s achievements at the St. Louis financial firm range from effectively placing more than $3 billion in private equity and co-investments to establishing a strategic partnership with a leading financial infrastructure firm. He previously spent time as a principal with a New York City-based financial firm. Before this, he spent 16 years as the director of another New York City firm.
Mr. Giacin holds a bachelor of arts in economics from St. Lawrence University. Prior to his time as a leader in the financial industry, he spent a decade as a professional hockey player and coach. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1989 and played on several national teams. In 2019, he was inducted into the St. Louis Hockey Hall of Fame.
