The tasks and missions accomplished include: • Setting up a DHCP server to centralize IP address management and prevent address conflicts. • Installing a DNS server to enable name resolution within the local network. • Configuring a Web server to ensure high availability in case of a disruption in the connection to the public network. • Deploying a generic proxy server that will relay various requests and maintain a cache of responses, contributing to local network security. • Creating a firewall to protect the internal network. • Setting up a mail server for local communication management. • Implementing security and user identification through passwords. • Configuring the network to meet training requirements. • Ensuring IP routing within the network. • Allowing controlled distribution of static documents. • Implementing IP filtering (using IPTABLES rules). • Establishing an LDAP service. • Configuring an FTP file server.
