About Me
Gunnari Auvinen is a Cambridge, Massachusetts software engineer who conducts architectural planning and review, as well as code reviews, with Labviva. Coordinating system design sessions, he shares core knowledge with other engineers on the team. Also responsible for writing code, Gunnari Auvinen maintains and updates already existing services.

In one key 2022 engagement, Mr. Auvinen oversaw a gap analysis of Labviva’s systems, with a focus on redirecting resources for greater efficiency. His efforts helped create a service template that expedites the development and delivery of innovative services. He also managed the work of an outside contracting company in 2023. The firm implemented enhanced continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, which brought infrastructure up to current standards.

From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Auvinen was a member of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. As senior system integration and test engineer, he worked across multiple programs, such as directing tests for submarine avoidance flyout (SAF) maneuvers and overseeing elements of the guided missile submarine (SSGN) conversion of the USS Georgia.

Gunnari Auvinen holds a BS with honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in electrical and computer engineering. Community involved, he volunteers with the food pantry program Rice Sticks & Tea each month.
