Previously a longtime resident of Ohio, Gary A. Miller, Jr., attended Washington High School in Massillon before preparing for his career at Wittenberg University and the College of Wooster. After securing both a bachelor of arts in geology and his teaching certification, he taught high school in Ohio while earning a master’s degree in educational administration from Ashland University. Gary A. Miller, Jr., also went on to complete an administrative certification from this institution.
He subsequently drew on his training to serve in several administrative posts -- namely as dean of students, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal. He also returned to the academic arena at Miami University of Ohio, where he secured his superintendent certification in 2019.
For the past six years, Mr. Miller has overseen all aspects of staff and student operations as the principal of Northridge Middle School in Springfield, Oklahoma. In both 2017 and 2018, Northridge received State Board of Education Momentum Awards for exceeding annual student growth expectations.
