My name is Evgeny Kireev, I’m a Cyprus-based entrepreneur and active angel investor with a portfolio that includes a wide range of industries, including FMCG, automotive, cosmetics, healthcare, and technology. I started my professional career working for the largest logistics and supply chain firm in Cyprus, and from there set out to create my own portfolio. As a rule, I value investment diversity. However, there are several sectors I gravitate towards more naturally. These include those with strong engineering/and or technological components, as I hold a BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Management of Engineering Processes from Kings College in London. I am also inclined to focus on the automotive sector, as motorsports is a personal interest of mine and one I am deeply passionate about. I’m fortunate to participate in motorsport rallies and 24H race events around the world, which makes it even more exciting when I see the new high-tech vehicles that automotive companies are developing.
As for startups and established companies in other sectors, when I look at them for investment purposes I like to see those that implement innovation along with social and environmental responsibility.
