Erol Onel is an experienced physician in the fields of urology, andrology, sexual dysfunction and fertility. He has participated in clinical studies and served as an assistant professor throughout his career in medicine. Most recently, Erol Onel was vice president of Pacira Pharmeceuticals Inc.

At Pacira Pharmeceuticals, located in New Jersey, Dr. Onel oversaw the studies of and was a part of a team that worked to get a non-opioid pain medicine approved and available to the public. He educated the company about the use and purpose of this specific drug. In addition to working on this new pain medicine, Dr. Onel also assisted Pacira in maintaining the standards of their pre-existing pharmaceutical products, and helped take the company public.

Prior to his experience at Pacira, Dr. Onel was Director of Medical affairs at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, based out of New York. He founded Ferring’s urology division and provided the division with scientific training, knowledge and leadership. He led a Ferring Pharmaceuticals team that appeared before the United States Food and Drug Administration and oversaw the approval of a prostate cancer drug.
