While working toward his law degree from the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla in Puebla, Mexico, Erick Olivera Mendez worked in Mexico City as both a labor relations agent with Pemex Mexicanos and deputy director of acquisitions, leases, and services with the Mexican Ministry of the Interior. Since graduating from law school, Erick Olivera Mendez’s academic and professional career has been both comprehensive and varied.
His postgraduate educational accomplishments include securing a doctor of law degree from the International Institute of Law and State and a master of arts in laws from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He also holds degrees in maritime law, energy law, and criminology.
While continually pursuing his education, Mr. Mendez held a range of government and private-sector positions in Mexico City. Since 2013, he has served as an advisor and consultant in fields of law ranging from public procurement and supply to administrative responsibility and accountability.
