An alumnus of California State Polytechnic University, Eric Ashley Buries obtained a bachelor's degree in English from the school in 1994 and subsequently earned a master's in educational administration and special education at California State University, Los Angeles. Later, while working as an educational specialist at Rowland Unified School District, he completed a master's degree in school psychology at Azusa Pacific University. From 2004 to 2014, Eric Buries leveraged this education to serve as a transition specialist and school psychologist at Deer Park School District in Washington.
From there, Eric Ashley Buries worked two years as a special education coordinator at San Bernardino City Unified School District, where he supervised more than 60 certified professionals in departments such as Psychological Services and Educationally Related Mental Health Services. Since 2017, he has worked as special education director at Encore Educational Corporation.
In this capacity, Mr. Buries oversees special education programs and evaluates staff while ensuring company compliance with federal laws and regulations. He also coordinates enrollment and professional development activities. Complementing more than two decades of relevant experience, he is versed in Response to Intervention, Multi-tiered Systems of Support, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support.
