A graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science in computer science, Eric Bowman earned a master of business administration from Charleston Southern University. Over the course of his career, he has pursued entrepreneurial ventures in the areas of media, sports, technology, and entertainment. After serving as manager of engineering at employee benefits platform Benefitfocus for several years, Eric Bowman founded SPARC in 2009.
As president and CEO of SPARC, Mr. Bowman led the development of software for federal and defense contractors. Named the fastest-growing private company in the state at one point, SPARC was recognized by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce as one of the best places to work. Mr. Bowman oversaw the 2015 sale of SPARC to a Fortune 500 company.
Mr. Bowman currently serves as president of interactive media platform Stream Live and a board member with Harbor Entrepreneur Center. In the latter role, he provides mentorship to help young Charleston professionals cultivate leadership skills.
