The recipient of a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the Pacific, Edgar Whitmore founded Strategic Financial Group in Los Angeles, California in 1991 and served as its principal until 2008. He subsequently served as a founding partner at TAG Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. for two years. Since 2010, he has been a partner at Lenox Advisors, Inc. Focusing primarily on financial and estate planning, Edgar Whitmore offers wealth management services to business owners, entertainers, professional athletes, and other affluent individuals.
In addition to advising individuals, Edgar Whitmore works with corporate clients to develop comprehensive benefit programs and qualified insurance plans for employees as well as customized plans for senior executives. He is particularly versed in areas such as life, disability, and long-term care insurance as well as business succession planning.
Mr. Whitmore earned the National Quality Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors in 2018 and has been listed Top of the Council every year since 2009. Complementing nearly three decades of financial services experience, he is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Family Business Specialist.
