Dr. Edgar Lampkin has spent 5 years as the superintendent of a school district in Northern California, which involves work as secretary of the school board and chief executive of the school district. His achievements in this position have ranged from securing multi-million-dollar grants to the creation of a 10-year facilities master plan to modernize all buildings in the district. Prior to joining the school district as superintendent, Dr. Edgar Lampkin served the Yolo County Office of Education in Woodland as the director of English language services and instructional services for pre-K through grade 12 students.
Dr. Lampkin holds a doctoral degree in international multicultural education from the University of San Francisco and a master of arts in educational administration from California State University, Sacramento. He also has an Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) Leadership Academy certification. He has received a number of honors and accolades over the course of his career in education, including the Yolo County Mexican-American Concilio Rick Gonzales, Sr., Award and the A Look At Learning (ALL) Innovation and Collaboration Award.
