As cofounder and owner of Burnsville, Minnesota’s Kona Cabinetry & Design, Dustin LaFavre leads a cabinet company that he launched with friends in 2018. Dustin LaFavre and his partners built the enterprise into a company with sustained revenue and a long-term client base that includes investors, homeowners, and multi-family properties.
One of Mr. LaFavre’s responsibilities as director of operations has been developing software systems that drive payroll and accounting applications. He has also contributed to companywide recruiting, marketing, and process improvement efforts, as well as managing company finances.
Mr. LaFavre studied finance and real estate studies at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul. He gained early experience as a Zipfizz district manager who promoted the energy supplement brand in big-box retail settings across the Midwest. Exceeding sales goals through in-store demonstrations, he also managed employee scheduling.
In addition to leading a cabinet company, Mr. LaFavre oversees social media and is a talent acquisition specialist for Interim Healthcare Staffing of Minneapolis. Tasked with recruiting and interviewing staff, he ensures that they thrive in client-driven health care settings.
