Dr. Pradeep Atluri is a former New York Presbyterian Hospital psychiatry resident who holds close to two decades of experience treating patients. Before completing his residency, Dr. Pradeep Atluri worked with the New York-based Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was a postdoctoral associate and researched synaptic transmission mechanisms.
He holds similar experience with Yale University, where the main focus of his research was brain oscillation mechanics using electrophysiology. He also ran a private psychiatric practice for nine years, during which he specialized in treating personality disorders, addiction, and other mental illnesses.
Dr. Atluri has received several accolades during his career, including the Payne Whitney Psychiatry Residency Distinguished Alumni Award, which he received in 2014. He holds a PhD in neurobiology and wrote a dissertation titled “The Role of Presynaptic Calcium in Short-term Synaptic Plasticity.”
He also holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
