Dr. Jamie Gottlieb began his career as a spine surgeon while he was in training. As early as 1993, he was working as a research associate for the Scripps Clinic. After studying and training for his medical degree, he worked at the Orthopedic Call Presbyterian Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Gerhard Maaleas. From there, he spent over two years working in various capacities as a physician. He would not begin working as a spine surgeon until 2004 when he was hired as at South Bend Orthopedics and subsequently the Spine Institute in 2008.
