An accomplished healthcare administrator based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Donald A. Hislop joined Memorial Medical Center as Associate Chief Nursing Officer in 2019. In this leadership position, he directs patient care and oversees administrative tasks such as ensuring adherence to regulations, determining quality awards, and physician recruitment. Prior to taking on his current position, Donald A. Hislop served as Administrative Director of Surgical Services at Las Palmas Medical Center.
In the 1990s, Mr. Hislop spent six years as a medical technician with the United States Air Force before earning an associate degree in nursing from Florida Community College. He later earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Texas, Arlington, and a master of arts in organizational management from Ashford University. Nominated in 2010 and 2012 as a Top 100 Nurse in Dallas, Texas, he has held positions with Baylor Medical Center in Frisco and the Medical Center of Plano.
In January 2020, Mr. Hislop was admitted into the 2020 Association of Nurse Leaders Nurse Executive Fellowship program.
