About Me
A finance and economics scholar with specific interests in computer modeling and machine learning, Dimitri Zafirov began his postsecondary education by earning a diploma of college studies in computer science technology from Dawson College. Dimitri Zafirov subsequently matriculated at Concordia University, where he completed a bachelor of commerce in finance. He followed this up by securing a master of science in applied economics from the University of Montreal.

While enrolled at the University of Montreal, Dimitri Zafirov garnered two academic excellence awards for achieving the highest annual GPA in his program at HEC Montreal’s Institute of Applied Economics. His master thesis on the macroeconomic effects of government debt management earned a nomination as the Best Master’s Thesis.

After graduating from the University of Montreal in 2015, Dimitri Zafirov devoted himself to economic analysis and research for several years, working for Montreal’s Letko-Brosseau & Associates and serving as a research assistant on projects involving international academic institutions. In September of 2018, Mr. Zafirov matriculated at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is currently pursuing his PhD in accounting at the Anderson School of Business.
