Attorney David R. Mullaney leverages more than three decades of experience in the vertical construction sector to provide counsel to private developers. He has closed a number of construction transactions on behalf of clients since 2016 and offered his expertise in areas such as deal assessment, crafting contracts, cost disputes, risk mitigation, and strengthening positions with sureties. David Mullaney is a certified Massachusetts mediator and a member of the American Bar Association's Fidelity and Surety Law Committee and the ABA Forum on Construction Law.
Prior to his focus on construction legal consulting, David R. Mullaney served 24 years as the CEO of the vertical construction firm Mullaney Corporation, where he oversaw his firms construction of several hundred million dollars worth of institutional, medical, and private-school low to mid rise buildings. As Construction Managers at Risk, Mullaney Corp. internally capitalized its projects, while relying in part upon it's year over year uninterrupted growth in retained earnings and bonding.
Mr. Mullaney spent nearly two decades serving academic institutions in leadership roles. Namely, as a member of the board of Governor's, and as a director. and chair. He served 10 years on the board of trustees of Fitchburg State University. A Massachusetts School of Law graduate, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts at Amherst and completed a program in construction management at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
