About Me
The recipient of a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from Yale University, David Bookstaber graduated magna cum laude from the school in 1999 on an Air Force ROTC scholarship. He subsequently served 4 years in the Air Force in quantitative analysis roles, and rose to the rank of captain. From there, David Bookstaber served 2 years as partner at Scribe Reports, where he led the development of its hedge fund risk analysis reporting service.

Building upon this experience in the private sector, David Bookstaber joined Morgan Stanley as a market-neutral quantitative fund manager. During two years in this role, he developed an algorithmic trading system that managed over $400 million in stocks based on a both real-time and historical data-sourced information. He later worked in similar roles at Magnetar Capital and AQR Capital Management.

More recently, Mr. Bookstaber served as consulting CFO and engineer at Hashtracking, Inc. He was hired by the owners of the company to save it from insolvency. He audited the company's accounts and successfully secured bridge financing, while simultaneously reverse-engineering and repairing damaged front-end software. He currently leverages this extensive fintech experience to provide data engineering consulting services to clients through Boniface, LLC.
