The recipient of a bachelor's degree in economics from Yale University and an MBA in finance from Columbia University, Clifford "Cliff" Corso is an experienced asset management executive who started his career at Marine Midland Bank in 1984. After completing its one-year Credit Training program at the top of his class, Cliff Corso rose to the position of vice president of the bank's Secured Lending division. Subsequently, he served as director of its Distressed and Workouts division.
Cliff Corso worked seven years at the bank before joining Natwest, where he oversaw the restructuring and workouts of multiple large debt facilities. He helped establish Cutwater Asset Management in 1994 and spent 21 years at the firm in various capacities, including as CIO and CEO. Serving MBIA Insurance Company and bond specialists, the asset management platform exceeded $50 billion in assets under management.
Since 2015, Clifford Corso has served as executive chairman at Insight Investment in New York City, New York. His responsibilities in this capacity include strategic direction oversight, talent development, and institutional client relationship management. He is also a member of its Executive Management Committee and chair of the US Risk Oversight Committee and US Fixed Income Investment Meeting.
