About Me
Carlos Mejia joined Options Group in New York City as a managing partner in 2000 and continues to drive operations at the US-based hedge fund practice as the head of asset management, hedge fund, and equities practices. In addition to his management of the company’s executive search practice, he oversees all activities involving global funds, investment advisors, advisory firms, and buy-side money managers. Over the course of more than two decades with the New York City recruitment firm, Carlos Mejia has established a track record for effectively pairing hedge fund clients with a range of executive leaders, from chief executive officers to heads of risk management and compliance.
Prior to joining Options Group, he spent time as a staff trainer at AHRC-HIRE and as a shift supervisor for the North American Family Institute (NAFI) in Fort Myers, Florida. He remains involved with NAFI as the chairman of the organization’s Resource Development Committee. He is also affiliated with the Youth Police Initiative.
Mr. Mejia studied psychology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, graduating with his bachelor of arts in 1996. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and flying airplanes.
