Working toward a master of social work, Brian McCann earned his high school diploma from New Trier Township High School near Wilmette, Illinois. In addition to completing his coursework and playing varsity football and ice hockey, Brian McCann held multiple roles in the Wilmette Park District, where he ultimately achieved the title of facility supervisor in charge of managing the daily operations of the Centennial Family Aquatic Center..
Mr. McCann went on to study political science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After attaining membership in the university’s honor society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2013.
In 2020, Mr. McCann enrolled in the master’s degree program in social work at Loyola University Chicago. He is further participating in the Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor Certification Program. Cultivating skills in the clinical side of social work, he plans to use his graduate degree to become an addiction and mental health specialist.
