Brian Cannella is a real estate executive with more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, spanning acquisitions, dispositions, and capital markets. Since joining a national alternative real estate investment firm in 2013, he has built his career in transaction execution and now leads transactions and capital markets for its real estate group, managing the execution of developments, acquisitions, and dispositions. He has closed more than $20 billion in transactions across student housing, multifamily housing, seniors housing, medical office, and self storage. Alongside his transactional work, he sources and structures debt for the platform, manages its lender relationships, and serves on the real estate group's executive committee.
Before moving into real estate investment, Brian worked in commercial real estate in New York City at Tishman Construction and Newmark, focused on analyzing financial, operational, and business risks. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Union College.
