As head of Capital Consulting since 2015, Bo Shan has guided activities that include implementing employee performance optimization strategies. Holding a psychology degree earned Phi Beta Kappa at Stanford University, Bo Shan completed his PhD in sociology at Harvard University.
From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Shan was a member of the RAND Corporation in New York and undertook evidence-based analysis on behalf of global clients. Among his range of quantitative research activities were those focused on complex policy issues related to economics and national security.
Mr. Shan subsequently spent 12 years as foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State and was posted in a number of consulate and embassy locations across various nations. In addition to engaging productively with local governments, he provided valuable resources to Americans traveling or working abroad. An important aspect of Bo Shan’s duties centered on gathering information and creating reports that served his country’s strategic needs.
