Barry Baldwin began his career as a machine operator in the mail room at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. During his time in this role he was responsible for overseeing batches of third party mailers, advertisements, and checks as they were processed by a machine that would seal envelopes and send the mailers to the stamp machine prior to being sent out. In 1987, Barry Baldwin joined the New York City Transit Authority as a bus operator, a position he held for 27 years. He received a number of safety awards over the course of his career with the NYC Transit Authority, including multiple honors for going consecutive years without an accident or passenger incident. He also received a 2005 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certificate in recognition of his exemplary service to passengers living with disabilities.

Despite his retirement, Mr. Baldwin continues to enjoy leading an active lifestyle. He is health conscious and rides his bike and takes walks frequently. He also engages in light weight lifting sessions. Beyond exercising, he spends his time listening to a wide range of music, from mainstream rock and pop to blues and jazz.
