About Me
Dr. Aragon Ellwanger is a US Air Force Major and oral surgeon with professional experience spanning more than 12 years. Since joining the Air Force in 2010, he has provided dental services to thousands of patients. Today, Dr. Ellwanger continues his clinical work with the Air Force and has a faculty appointment at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

His position as an associate professor involves teaching didactics and conducting clinical training in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS). He also co-authored a research paper in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery that tackled the surgical dissection of the pleomorphic adenoma of the accessory parotid gland.

Dr. Ellwanger studied biochemistry during his undergraduate years, then later pursued his DDS at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. Upon graduating, he completed a 1-year Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) at Andrews Air Force Base and upon completion was accepted into a highly competitive 4-year OMFS residency at Lackland Air Force Base.

In his free time, Dr. Ellwanger enjoys being in the outdoors with his wife. He stays active by hiking and cycling. He also regularly volunteers for charitable organizations such as forPeace.
