Anthony Qi

Anthony Qi was born in Buffalo, NY, and raised in Houston in a household that valued education, curiosity, and steady intellectual growth. From an early age, he was encouraged to engage with ideas thoughtfully and to approach learning with discipline. This environment helped shape an interest in understanding systems and making careful decisions, which later influenced both academic focus and professional direction.

After completing high school, Anthony earned admission to the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, one of the most competitive undergraduate business programs in the nation. He pursued a major in Finance with a minor in Spanish and graduated in 2018 with a major GPA of 3.5/4.0. The honors curriculum emphasized analytical rigor, collaborative case work, and consistent problem-solving.

During his academic years, he also spent a semester in 2015 at the Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires. There, he studied program management while developing Spanish language skills through immersion. This experience broadened his global perspective and strengthened his understanding of how cultural and institutional contexts influence learning and execution.

Anthony Qi began his professional career in investing and financial analysis, where disciplined research and careful reasoning were essential. Early internships at Goshawk Global Investments, Nine Ten Capital Management, and Intertek in Shanghai provided exposure to a range of industries and international business environments.
