Alexander Guizzetti is an entrepreneur with versatile interests and a wide array of talents. He's currently the President of 9d Ventures in Scottsdale, a private equity and venture capital company. He's also developing a communications platform called DirectMessage.me, a hub where fans and celebrities can come together for more rewarding conversations. Guizzetti is known for being incredibly diligent in all of his efforts, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a dual major of Business Management and Real Estate & Urban Economics in 2012. He used his final year in college to develop the concept and launched soon after he finished his undergraduate career.
This motivated professional also has passed his FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 exams, obtained his real estate license, and earned a certificate in Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin. His strong work ethic and FINRA success would earn him a place at the Vanguard Group. While he was working for the company, Guizzetti immediately noticed one of the primary lessons he learned in college. Large corporations were very similar to large ships: they may have plenty of resources, but they're designed to stay the course. Instead of being able to veer off the charted path when the market takes an unexpected turn, they plow forward without much regard to a changing world. 9d Ventures was born of this line of thinking. Startups are inherently different, and 9d Ventures is there to help them get ahead. When Guizzetti evaluates companies for Series A or seed round funding, he looks for companies that are lean, innovative, and prepared. Their pitch decks have thought through every potential obstacle, and the leaders have contingency plans in case they have to move onto Plan B. In this way, Alexander Guizzetti is driving smarter solutions that can be implemented faster. His motto is to think of the people who are using a product or service first. Their problems, experiences, and successes are the success or failure of a business. When Alexander Guizzetti meets with different entrepreneurs, he looks at the underlying values of each one. Not every company has the same purpose or mission, but they should all be ready to think of people before profit. When Guizzetti maps out his workday, he makes sure to schedule some time for himself. If he's going to be on call until 2 a.m. on release nights at 9d Ventures, he needs to have enough energy to power through. Recharging can be as simple as taking his beloved dog for a walk, but Guizzetti doesn't discount the importance of activities outside work. A refreshing stroll can easily lead to his next great idea.
