About Me
A board-certified psychiatrist, Wayne Macfadden MD has been working in research, academic, and clinical settings for upwards of 30 years. He began his career after graduating from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Millard Fillmore Hospital, followed by a Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Wayne Macfadden MD subsequently joined Mercy Catholic Medical Center as an attending psychiatrist and began teaching at U Penn as an Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.

Over the next several decades, Dr. Macfadden held a variety of roles, including Staff Psychiatrist and Director at the Inpatient Detoxification Unit at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Associate Director of North American Medical Affairs for GlaxoSmithKline, Director of US Medical and Scientific Affairs at Johnson & Johnson, and Global Medical Affairs Director at Novartis. These positions granted him experience in the development of pharmaceuticals, clinical research, and general psychiatric practice.

Dr. Wayne Macfadden leverages this experience to serve as Psychiatrist at the Spirit Lake Indian Nation Tribal Health Center. He is the first full-time Psychiatrist employed there and is responsible for forming the only Suboxone (buprenorphine) treatment clinic ion a reservation in North Dakota. Additionally, he leads the company International Psychiatric Services as co-owner alongside his wife Andrea.
