An orthopaedic physician who has been treating patients for approximately three decades, Dr. Stuart Remer currently performs a range of consulting work from his hometown of New York. He previously served two decades as a spine surgeon and department administrator with Saint Barnabas Hospital and Health System in the Bronx, where he treated patients for scoliosis and other spinal conditions. Dr. Stuart Remer continues to build upon professional experience in scoliosis treatment that he began as a specialist with Dr. Stanley Hoppenfeld at Spine and Scoliosis Associates in Manhattan.
In addition to his work as a clinical practitioner, Dr. Stuart Remer is an accomplished medical researcher and author. Over the years, he has published articles in multiple Orthopaedic periodicals including the Journal of Spinal Disorders and the Bulletin of the Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Remer also wrote the chapter titled Anatomy and Biomechanics of the Spine of the book Lower Extremity and Spine in Sports Medicine.
