Located in Kentfield, CA, Stephen Raffle, MD, has been a board-certified psychiatrist for more than four decades and a board-certified forensic psychiatrist for 25 years. His Kentfield practice is divided between clinical psychiatric services and rendering forensic psychiatric medical-legal opinions. In addition to providing expert opinions in over 700 trials and depositions and more than 5,000 forensic matters, Stephen Raffle, MD, has taught medical students, residents and faculty as an assistant clinical professor in both the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UCSF Medical School. He also educated attorneys at UC Hastings College of the Law on the direct and cross-examination of expert medical witnesses.
Dr. Raffle received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He has maintained his medical license since 1969 and his American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology psychiatric and forensic psychiatry credentials since 1977 and 1994, respectively. He also is a member of multiple state and national medical organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL), to name just a few.
