Simon N Hodnett

With 25 years of experience as a track and field coach, Simon N. Hodnett oversees all aspects of the men's and women's track and field program at the Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. As the head coach, Simon N. Hodnett manages the annual budget, recruits student-athletes from around the world, and mentors and trains all members of the Long Island University men's and women’s track and field team. A nine-time Northeast Conference Coach of the Year, he has led his athletes to numerous distinctions, including 212 Northeast Conference relay and individual runner-up titles and 14 Northeast Conference track and field team titles.

Simon N. Hodnett is a member of multiple professional associations. He is involved with the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, which represents approximately 8,000 track and field coaches. He also supports USA Track & Field, the governing body for track and field in the United States.

When he isn't on the field, Mr. Hodnett enjoys spending quality time with his son, family, and friends. He counts reading, cooking, and listening to music among his favorite pastimes. He is also writing an autobiography.
