An experienced medical administrator and educator, Sam W. Lee earned a PhD in genetics from the University of California (UC) before completing postdoctoral training at UC San Francisco’s Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Sam W. Lee subsequently received a faculty appointment in the Division of Cancer Biology at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. Two years later, Dr. Lee returned to Harvard to instruct students as an assistant professor of medicine.
In addition to his current educational duties as a Harvard associate professor of dermatology, Sam W. Lee serves as the deputy director of the Cutaneous Biology Research Center (CBRC), a specialized research partnership between Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Over the past 27 years, the CBRC has engaged in biological studies with a focus on specific clinical problems and unique diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
