Raanan Liebermann

As the president of Signtel, Raanan Liebermann leads the North Haven, Connecticut-based company in a range of research and development efforts, with a specific focus on creating innovative products for individuals who are blind and/or deaf. These products include such patented devices as an electronic navigation and communication cane for the blind and those who are both blind and deaf, and a speech transcription telephone for the deaf, enabling communication between voice and Sign Language. He also spearheaded the creation of the patented Sign Language public address and emergency alert system. Over the past 19 years, Raanan Liebermann has overseen Signtel’s growth from a small startup to a large organization with more than 200 employees.

Outside of the technological sector, Raanan Liebermann has developed a public domain form of communication called Touch Language, which allows individuals with visual, aural, and speech challenges to communicate using concepts rather than traditional vocabulary and grammar, which will enable the operation of his patented TV for the blind and blind and deaf individuals. Dr. Liebermann who is a theoretical physicist with knowledge in the medical sciences, lends his knowledge also to consulting medical doctors to provide tailored solutions to the specific problems of patients suffering from diseases ranging from Alzheimer’s to cancer.
