With global experience spearheading quality improvements in vehicle manufacturing, Philip Calhoun guides the Michigan consulting firm Total Quality Engineering. Philip Calhoun leverages his Six Sigma Black Belt certification in undertaking client-centered assignments focused on continuous improvement and a winning combination of quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Mr. Calhoun completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. Active in collegiate wrestling, he joined the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity in 1988 and achieved selection to the Golden Key International Honor Society’s Sigma Chapter.

Mr. Calhoun joined Ford Motor Company in Oakville, California, in the late 1990s as vehicle body area manager. He guided more than 400 employees in the building of a new body facility in preparation for the F-150 Harley Davidson’s introduction. As lean manufacturing manager with Ford in Chicago in the early 2000s, he set in place a pioneering flexible body shop for models such as the Mercury Montego and Ford 500. Philip Calhoun’s experience extends to an internationally focused leadership position as director of manufacturing quality for the Americas with Ford.
