As the president and CEO of Cobb Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) in Marietta, Georgia, he guides the largest EMC in the nation while developing cutting-edge programs that drive the industry forward. Among other projects for the nearly $1 billion organization, Peter Heintzelman has launched an initiative to offer free overnight electric vehicle-charging for Cobb EMC customers.

In addition to his leadership of Cobb EMC, Peter Heintzelman stands out as an active figure in the larger energy industry. He draws upon his past experience as a CEO and CFO, as an executive member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and he routinely speaks at events such as the Natural Resources Forum. Mr. Heintzelman also stays involved in the local community through his role as a board member for the Atlanta Area Boy Scouts of America and as a regular speaker at local charity events.

Prior to his current professional and civic roles, Peter Heintzelman spent more than two decades in CEO, CFO, and other executive positions for international energy companies such as T5 Oil and Gas and Halliburton Corporation. He also spent six years as head of oil and renewables for East Africa/MENA region for Standard Bank, during which time he received three Euromoney Deal of the Year Awards.
