A staff supervisor with St. Francis Animal Rescue in Venice, Florida, Dr. Patricia Lynn Hough previously held positions as a senior physician with the Sarasota County Department of Health, a director of Central American and Caribbean health projects with Proyecto Salud y Vida, and a psychiatrist with health care organizations in multiple states. Dr. Patricia Lynn Hough holds a doctor of medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and earned board certification in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
In addition to treating patients, Dr. Hough educated the next generation of medical professionals as an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry with the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where she delivered lectures in the fields of psychopharmacology and behavioral science and supervised third-year medical students and interns in an acute psychiatric admission unit. She has also served as an assistant and adjunct professor of social work.
