A geologist with Tetra Tech in Phoenix, Arizona, Neil Joseph Babb has more than a decade of experience in the geologic and environmental fields. In addition to his full-time work with Tetra Tech, Neil Joseph Babb works part-time at U-Haul; where he handles inventory, customer service, storage rentals, as well as automotive and facility maintenance.
Prior to joining Tetra Tech, Joseph Neil Babb was employed by Hydro Geo Chem, Inc., in Scottsdale, Arizona, as a geologist. In that position, he operated and maintained environmental remediation systems, CQA inspection oversight for several landfill liner constructions, drilling and monitoring well installations, and environmental sampling. He also penned an outstanding letter nominating the firm’s senior geologist for the 2013 State of Arizona Damage & Safety Ambassador Award, which he won.
He holds a bachelor of science in geology from Wayne State University in Detroit. Subsequently, as part of his undergraduate studies, he assisted an associate Professor with gathering field data in southeast Michigan mapping glacial features in the urban and rural landscapes. In addition, he completed the Field Geology Program at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, and kayaking. As well as working on his properties in Arizona and Michigan. Mr. Babb also is a professional grade painting contractor who has completed custom home painting projects in multiple States. He has recently established a web domain and host server for his painting business at (nbpainting.net).
