  • • Carry out conscientiously the tasks confined to him/her
  • • Plan the weekly activities for his team and have them approved by the NRM/ Community Mobilization Activity Manager: • Plan human resources needs (daily workers, workers...)
  • • Plan tool and material needs (request from stock)
  • • Anticipate administrative issues (requests in advance)

  • • When recruiting daily workers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his line manager and the administrative service
  • • Ensure that safety procedures are followed by members of his team
  • • Monitor the quality and quantity of material/inputs delivered to the beneficiaries
  • Human Resources Management
  • • Supervise and support the team under his supervision
  • • Act as the liaison between the various teams supervisors
  • • Support the Activity Manager/Project Manager in solving problems between team members, or between teams and partners, communities and beneficiaries
  • • Identify and provide trainings to his team
  • • Assist in the performance reviews of those staff under his supervision
  • Reporting / communication
  • • Contribute to establish and maintain a communication network and good relations with targeted communities, local authorities and other stakeholders involved in animal husbandry activities at local level
  • • Listen to the populations and local participants in the field and report to the Activity Manager/Project Manager and/or the Field coordinator any non-technical or safety-related issues which could affect the activities or safety of Solidarités International teams
  • • Take part in weekly program meetings on request
  • • Keep his monitoring tools and files archived in the Solidarités office, accessible to his line manager
  • • Draw up and submit a weekly task report (which should include progress made by the team) to the NRM and Community Mobilization Activity Manager
  • • Take part in the drafting of the monthly program pack
  • • Provide oral and written translation for the coordination team/consultants during meetings or site visits
    1. Activities Implementation
  • Under the supervision of the Community Mobilization Supervisor, the CBPM officer is in charge of the CBPM methodology implementation on the field, according to the following phases:
    • Creation and Capacity building of Committee pasture councils (CPC), which are in charge of the management of the community pasture land;
    • Design of the pasture boundaries between neighbouring CPCs;
    • Setting up for each CPC of a protected area (Aygal) for a duration of 5 years;
    • Definition of pasture land right for each CPC: group of 20 rules specified by the community regarding the management of its rangeland, and monitored by the CPC
    • Manage the Official registration of documents of each CPC (council composition, pasture boundaries, Aygal area) to Amlok department of MAIL (land property);
    • Setting up of awareness courses to CPC and Community members (including Women and Children when possible) on how to better manage the pasture area and adapt the size of herds to it, how to regenerate degraded areas, alternatives to bush cutting, energy saving tools, etc…
  • In addition to this rangeland management activity, the CBPM officer is also in charge, under the supervision of the Community Mobilization Supervisor, of the implementation of the following complementary actions:
    • Distribution of rain fed wild seeds for degraded areas;
    • Distribution of alternative energy source to bush cutting like Solar oven, PSH, improved bukhari;
    • Monitoring of the construction of communal bakeries;
    • Monitoring of the construction of watershed protection infrastructures;
    • Follow up of the construction and use of Passive Solar Houses.

    • Preparation of weekly planning with his colleagues and supervisor;

  • 3.Data collection - Reporting
    • Composition of weekly report
    • Composition of activities report, update of database
  • 4.Security and Procedures
    • To report any incident to Security focal point and Field Coordinator
    • To follow SI regulation and procedures
