Based in Pennsylvania, Meredith Sossman is the cheif development officer and counsel for the West Chester University Foundation. She has served the nonprofit in various roles since 2008. Meredith Sossman has managed a team of seven direct reports and eight indirect reports, including fundraisers, prospect research professionals, and event managers, all working toward multimillion-dollar fundraising goals.
During her time with the organization, Sossman has raised more than $32 million, including a net revenue increase of over $8 million in one year. Also the foundation’s campaign director, she previously functioned as director of major gifts and gift planning. As in-house counsel, she focuses on risk management, including premises liability.
Meredith Sossman also spent three years as an adjunct professor in West Chester University’s master of public administration program. In addition, she has lent her legal expertise as an associate attorney for Maron Marvel Bradley & Anderson as well as Rawle & Henderson. She completed her undergrad work at Muhlenberg College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her JD from Temple University School of Law.
