An experienced general dentist and dental surgeon, Dr. Maxwell Gilliam holds a doctor of dental surgery from the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC, and a dual bachelor of science in biology and chemistry from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. While working toward his undergraduate degree, Dr. Maxwell Gilliam was active with the Health Career Society. He embarked on his professional career as a member of several different mobile dental teams that focused on the treatment of senior citizens who had limited access to dental services.
Dr. Maxwell Gilliam subsequently established the private dental practice that he continues to operate today. Under his direction, Gilliam Dentistry has been serving greater Jacksonville, North Carolina for nearly three decades. In addition to handling all aspects of general family and preventative dentistry, the practice provides a range of restorative and surgical density services including Cerac CAD/CAM crowns, periodontal treatments, bone grafting/shaping, and laser therapies.
