Marissa Haugh's journey has been one of consistent growth and adaptability. Over time, she has pursued work in education, healthcare, and wellness, always finding ways to use her knowledge and skills to help others. Today, as a nutrition and fitness coach in Oceanport, New Jersey, she continues to guide individuals toward healthier living, carrying forward the lessons of her diverse career.
Her education gave her a strong base for her professional life's many directions. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. This degree introduced her to studying human development across the lifespan, focusing on family relationships. She later added to her education with a Certificate in Fine Arts and Foundation from Parsons’ School of Design in 2001, which reflected her creative interests. By 2003, she had completed a Master of Science in Child Life at Bank Street College, preparing her to support children and families in medical settings.
Her early career experiences began while she was still pursuing her studies. She worked as a day care leader, supporting children in daily routines, before moving into a caseworker role at Talbot Perkins Children’s Services in Brooklyn. That position exposed her to adoption and foster care challenges, allowing her to work closely with needy families. At the same time, she served as Lead Camp Counselor at Epiphany Nursery School Camp, where she designed art and cooking projects while managing daily activities. These experiences gave her practical knowledge and reinforced her interest in child development.
