Since 2013, Dr. Ken Mwatha has been an attending physician with a major department of emergency medicine in Baltimore, dealing with acute life threats to patients. In this role, he treats both emergent and non-emergent medical conditions, performing procedures that often save the lives of trauma or medical patients. Dr. Ken Mwatha also oversees the overall flow of patients in the emergency medicine department, handling one of the highest acuity emergency departments in the city. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins as well.
Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Ken Mwatha studied zoology at the University of Wyoming, where he graduated with high honors in 2000. He started for the school's rugby team, which was ranked second nationwide. His rugby accomplishments also include participation in multiple all star teams, including the Western Collegiate All Star team and the Eastern Rockies All Star team. He continues to enjoy both rugby and soccer.
